Progress Report: Revitalizing TSX Venture Exchange
March 23, 2016 (TORONTO) – TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) today provided a progress report on the Exchange's detailed plans to enhance Canada's public venture market, which were published in a whitepaper in December 2015.
In early 2016, the TSXV leadership team embarked on a cross-Canada series of town hall meetings to discuss the actions to help support, revitalize and grow Canada's public venture marketplace as outlined in Revitalizing TSX Venture Exchange. Over 1,000 clients and key stakeholders took part in the meetings, and the broad range of valuable feedback gathered has been incorporated into today's report and will serve to help inform future decision making.
TSXV is committed to making a positive, tangible impact in three important areas to:
- Meaningfully reduce our clients' administrative and compliance costs without compromising investor confidence.
- Expand the base of investors financing companies and generally enhance liquidity.
- Diversify and grow the stock list to increase the attractiveness of the marketplace.
